Our Vision
Located in Auckland, New Zealand the Marist Seminary is a training centre for those preparing for the Marist religious life and ordained ministry within the Catholic Church.
Our programmes and way of life provide a strong faith environment in which young men undertake the spiritual, academic and pastoral training required to become modern day missionaries as priests and brothers of the Society of Mary.
We are a group of men dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, with a mission to be truly missionary.
We are to go from place to place, announcing the word of God, reconciling, catechising, visiting the sick and imprisoned, and doing works of mercy. We attend especially to the most neglected, the poor and those who suffer injustice. We are ready to carry out these tasks anywhere and at any time."More than a place, a material space, a seminary should be a spiritual place, a way of life, an atmosphere that fosters and ensures a process of formation so that the person who is called to the priesthood by God may become... a living image of Jesus Christ, Head and Shepherd of the Church".
